The Oslo Independent Film Festival was founded by a group of Norwegians who love the art of film to provide opportunities for independent films. The first event, although small in western Norwegian towns, attracted a large audience and media due to its unique environment and elaborate programming. Faced with the limitation of funds and resources, the festival has received community support and active participation from volunteers, and has gradually developed into a professional and artistic platform.
The festival has expanded its international participation, attracting excellent independent films from all over the world
The festival has added new industry communication links such as director forums and screenwriter workshops to provide opportunities for filmmakers to communicate.
